We love getting to know other cultures, so when Maria and Minxuan contacted us to take photos and video of their wedding we couldn't be more excited! 🙂
Minxuan got ready in an apartment in the center of Barcelona, and Maria in the Gran Hotel La Florida. She first dressed in a traditional Chinese dress alongside her bridesmaids. Once ready, Minxuan and his friends had to pass a series of tests so that Minxuan could see Maria, without a doubt one of the funniest moments of the wedding! The last of the tests was to find his bride's shoe, in order to discover the scarf that covered her head.
Once the couple saw each other for the first time, it was time for the tea ceremony. The tea ceremony is a way of showing respect and gratitude to parents for all their years of love and care. It is also a symbol of purity, stability and fertility. In this ceremony, the bride and groom offer a cup of tea to their in-laws, and they give them a red envelope as a gift.
After the ceremony, the bride changed her dress again for dinner. Upon entering the room, it was time for the couple's dance. And at the end of the dinner, the bride put on a red dress, and they went to toast the tables with all the guests, as the Chinese tradition marks. And after some games with the bridesmaids and the groom's friends, the wedding was over.
